Welcome to The Lone Star Dad! I’m a first time father from the Houston area. I’ve worked for the #1 cancer research hospital in the United States for almost 13 years. I’m a conservative, Christian man who values his friends and family to an extreme degree.

My journey
About four years ago, God blessed me with an amazing woman, thanks in small part to my sister creating an online profile for me on a particularly well-known dating website. A little over two years ago, we tied the knot!

Unfortunately for my wife and I, we experienced a great loss in 2024. Our first attempt at parenthood tragically ended in miscarriage.
Given my wife’s medical history and her doctor’s prognosis that she had less than 1% chance of even becoming pregnant, the prospect of natural parenthood seemed out of reach. However, God had different plans for us…
Four months ago, we learned that we were once again pregnant. It was at this point that I decided to write about my experience as a first time father and husband to a pregnant wife.
