I’ve learned that patience is a virtue, in the context of marriage, during my wife’s pregnancy almost more than any other time I’ve experienced.  There are many times that my wife will ask me to do something that she would normally be able to do, but I have to stop and remind myself that she’s growing a new human.

Perspective is really important to maintain during this time.  A little extra work on my part to make my wife’s life a little easier is a small price to pay.

Sure.  I have to go to work and deal with the common issues of any working man/woman, but her body is physically changing in ways that I’ll never truly be able to understand.  Our combined short-term sacrifices are pivotal to our developing child’s health and development.

So, fellas, do your best to support your wife even when it’s inconvenient to your daily operations.  As they say: happy wife, happy life!
